Learn how to understand per capita

Australia has less than 1% of the world's population and makes 3% of the pollution.

(Without accounting for all the pollution Australia exports we are already worse than China India etc.

Source? 🤔

I made it up.

I can't remember honestly, that 3% number was honestly a guesstimate because I know it was some fraction not a whole number.

Some documentary on YouTube a couple years ago, or it may have been an episode of media watch. That vaguely feels like where I remember it from.

I'm happy to be corrected.

But I know for sure our per capita CO2 emissions are higher than most other countries including China.

For how small our population is we are one of the worst polluters.

I see nothing wrong with CO2. 🤭😄🧡

Why are Eastern states being so punished for Australia's mining industry?

Now that's a good question.

It's probably got something to do with how almost none of resource extractors pay royalties for what they take.

Yet royalties do not "fix" climate change. 🙃🫤 No amount of money fixes emissions. Eliminating consumerism will surely help. Bitcoin fixes that. 🧡
