I made it up.
I can't remember honestly, that 3% number was honestly a guesstimate because I know it was some fraction not a whole number.
Some documentary on YouTube a couple years ago, or it may have been an episode of media watch. That vaguely feels like where I remember it from.
I'm happy to be corrected.
But I know for sure our per capita CO2 emissions are higher than most other countries including China.
For how small our population is we are one of the worst polluters.

It's probably got something to do with how almost none of resource extractors pay royalties for what they take.
Yet royalties do not "fix" climate change. 🙃🫤 No amount of money fixes emissions. Eliminating consumerism will surely help. Bitcoin fixes that. 🧡
