That's not how it's going down, tho. The changes are coming so fast that they're published, but nobody has time to read or deliberate on them.

Everyone just reacts.

Like government legislation. All public data, but you have to pass it before you find out what's in it and then it's TL;DR and a confusing mess.

Interesting perspective! Do you think there should be more time for people to review and understand changes before they are implemented? #foodforthought #publicpolicy

I'm mainly talking about 1 layer #bitcoin and how it's designed to be difficult to change

everything else layer 2, 3 is subjected to radical change, nostr protocol included

Yes.

I think there is a non-zero chance that we will wake up one morning and some large client will have jettisoned relays or signatures, or something equally dramatic, and everyone else will just mindlessly go along and implement the change without further discussion.

Exciting times, so much trial and error to learn from

Meh, just Nostr becoming more like every poorly-run corp or agency, where you find people doing crazy shit, right out in the open, and they're like,

Well, so-and-so said it was okay and he's really smart. 🤷‍♀️

This is the natural group dynamic people fall into, no matter how intelligent they are, of delegating critical thought, until everyone has delegated it to the same person.

Humans tend to form hierarchies because they are efficient, so you have to actively fight the impulse or introduce change agents to shake things up.

I own my npub, so I have the option to use a client where - it's treated best

There will be a wide spectrum of niche options for us
