We're open to change our mind, but as far as we can tell there's no benefit to the user in open sourcing our app.

What would be the best reason in your view?

To trust the autors in not shipping data collection code with it. Bitcoiners are extra vulnerable to the consequences of data collection. Also, open sourcing it means that anybody can help you get of reliance of google or apple. Something which undoubtly will be needed in the future.

We hear you, however the code won’t tell you what we do with the data we collect once is in our database. So it really doesn’t solve the “trust” problem, it increases our workload and it exposes us to vampire attacks.

The solution to the “trust” problem is to NOT collect any sensitive data to begin with, which is exactly our case since you can be as anonymous as you like.

Yes, I can be as anonymous as I like. But what if your app makes requests for precize location services? What if your app shares data with google services? How could we verify that?
