Felt it shake for a minute. My phone emergency alert went off. Always a bit freaky.
How often does Japan experience earthquakes?
Hard to answer. Sometimes once every few months. Sometimes you go for half a year to a year without quakes.

Felt it here in Korea. Just a little rumble, but when you're sitting way up in a little concrete box on stilts it definitely makes you aware of how fragile it all is.
It’s always a bit terrifying when you realize how much of the area is shaking and you’re all totally at the mercy of nature.
