*whispers* can you please convince vitor to make it an option for the background of amethyst to be deep black (its defaulting to system color now through the code and my phone gives it ugly purple gray bg color) π

What do you say nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z ? π π
#000000 reasons to not do it tbh
How many sats does that get me? π€
21k sats π?
is not much, i gib 42k sats
ion noh how much work it is?? π
changing the default grey color to black takes no time
what costs is how soon you want it π
Actually, everything I read on Material3 tells me to not go full back. Even if I set black into the Color generator: https://m3.material.io/theme-builder#/custom is exports a very dark gray for the background... So... I am confused.
Maybe I should hit #NostrDesign for a full review or a new color palette. Right now, the app uses just semi-default colors from Android
Wish I had an Android phone, so I could give you feedback buddy π
It's so hard to find designers that truly understand Android :(
Most of my time spent on smartphones has been on Android, so Iβd be alright ππ
What do you think makes it difficult to truly understand? Just the lack of hours in personal use?
UI styles. Most of the time I get a beautiful UI for iOS and when you apply it looks super off. :(
π€ Would love to see the differences when designing for Android vs iPhone discussed on #NostrDesign π
A little outdated, but things like this:

Thatβs because material ui is a guideline and not set in stone. If you want material UI designs then specify so and designers will give you material design screens.
I always specify. It doesn't really work for the average designer. Right now, I require designers to be full-time Android users to help any of my projects in Android. It significantly reduces the pool of talent, but It's the only way to avoid lots of unnecessary debates on UI concepts.
Kind a similar with engineers: don't hire C++ devs for interface work or you are going to have a bad time *on average*.
Def helps to be a frequent user
