been mulling over curved v flat. what's the benefit?
Discussion
Biggest win: Less glare if you have windows or light sources behind you.
Modest benefit to keeping a more constant focusing distance across the breadth of the screen (the edges of a huge, flat screen would be much further away than the center). Seemed a little weird at first but my eyes really like the curve now.
Probably also better contrast at the edges (due to the more perpendicular viewing angle), depending on the display type.
good point on the viewing distance. i should have figured that lol
been looking at shedding the two monitors for a big boy
macOS (and I'm sure other OSes nowdays) makes it easy to split a fullscreen desktop in two and resize the divider. Pretty awesome when you don't need the full width. I actually kinda forgot about that; gotta use this more!

side question, how do you get that bitcoiner icon by your name, gram only? first time seeing it
Dunno what you mean. Which client?
Test from Iris.
Test from Amethyst.
Test from Snort.
#[3] check the replies to the above post:
* Iris includes "root" and "reply" info in the "e" tags.
* Same for Snort.
* Amethyst only has unadorned "e" tags. The response is rendered correctly in Amethyst but it's somewhat orphaned and not properly threaded in Snort and Iris.

I found this funny…but also sad that I don’t have a home office and REALLY need one. If kids aren’t screaming on conference calls, everyone ask if I’ve been kidnapped.
my weight room living room home office are just one big room haha
kids wouldn’t work here, looking forward to moving to a bigger spot
Yeah, we bought this house at a great price and have put a ton of sweat equity and value into it, but only thought about it being for our first kid…not 3. Twins and a global pandemic change everything x7!
My setup is my breakfast table/dining nook (my small house doesn't have a dining room so this is it). Wouldn't fly if I had a family that actually wanted somewhere to eat!
Haha, yeah, the dinning room table has seen it’s fair share of stretched cords and stacked Tom Clancy books for a monitor riser. 100 year old homes were built for a different time!
heard that. my desk is in the back corner of the garage between our water heater and a fridge.
