Every time fees get high, everyone panics and we need 87 million hot takes on the subject. Then they always come down and that’s that. Get a Lightning channel opened during cheaper times, keep it balanced, and be done. There are so many tools to mitigate these high fees for even beginner users. Adoption is slow, people will learn on their own as we all did. We don’t need an instant “1 billion new users hit the network tomorrow, what will we do” solution to this. Layers and options are being built out and people will use them as the network scales.

Open multiple if you see that as a risk. This is a rare, unfortunate circumstance that is not the norm, and a convenient excuse for one who has not planned for this environment.
