The city that Hobbes’ Leviathan reigns over is empty of all people except for two figures—two beaked mask plague doctors.

The Sovereign can only reign over a city, of which is empty, except for death. They are false constructs that are truly the prisons of modernity.

This is the paradigm of rule in the post-liberal global order. The city’s are full of only the dead and can only provide a form of life that is empty. Vacuous mobs of thoughtless creatures who were once men, but can no longer even state which they are, because truth rules nothing, only the authority of the sovereign is truth here.

The slogan that hangs from the gates of today’s society is the same one that fundamentally destroyed the possibility of law: “work will make you free.”

It is the horrifying realization that only ‘work’, meaningless, thoughtless labor, abated the early death pressed by the state that reserves the right to destroy one when they are no longer of use.

Turn from the Door of Law and return from the countryside from which you came anon. There is no life here, only a vacant waiting for death.
