The US is squandering a transformational opportunity leaving regulators to decide the fate of Bitcoin and the entire digital asset space. Regulators regulate, they are parochial and self interested, they do not transform.

This extends to the dollar dominance discussion. The cadre of regulators seemingly entrusted with defending that dominance fundamentally misunderstand what dollar dominance was about. For them, it is about the ability to manipulate and weaponize the dollar. But where did dollar dominance come from? Economic strength and reliability. And precisely how do you kill that dominance? Through manipulation, weakness through debasement, and strangulation of economic opportunity.
