Thinking about starting a food YouTube channel

No one has a decent one in Chicago, and the few that exist go to bang average restaurants

Would also parlay some travel into this, so I can highlight places I go to abroad

Anyone have good experience doing this? Would appreciate advice if so!

It's powerful to combine 2, 3 or more niches. That way is orders of magnitude easier to be the top creator and find your audience. Rather than just trying to make it just in "travel" topic or just in "food" topic.

Combination of travel, food, #bitcoin and whatsoever might be powerful niche.
