Ok let’s do this. I got on Nostr awhile back but tbh I didn’t really keep up / commit to it. For the month of #Nostrvember (at least) - I’m stepping away from Xwitter to catch up with the state of play here on Nostr.
Help a brother out: what are some good things to check out? App / service improvements, clients, etc. etc.
And who are some good follows I may not know about?

If on desktop get the https://getalby.com/ extension. Go into settings put your nsec in the nostr keys then you can log into clients like primal.net easily which is probably the best web client right now. I like nostrudel.ninja as well. You can log in easily with the extension.
On mobile Amethyst on Android has it all but on iOS Damus is still king.
Most people use wallet of satoshi for an easy Lightning Address to receive zaps. nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 just came out with the first mobile self custody Lightning Address you can check out as well.

Try some of Primal's search discovery algorithms to find new accounts to follow. Trending 24hr, most zapped 4hrs etc. Adds a bit of new flavour to your feed.
Day 2 of going Nostr-only for #nostrvember -
Time to set myself up to send and receive Zaps "properly" - i.e. without using a custodial wallet or service. Wallet of Satoshi was great for kicking the tires and seeing how easy is is to use Zaps on Nostr, but I prefer to follow "not your keys, not your Bitcoin" and run my own wallet, connected to my own node.
Took about an hour, but got myself all set up to send and receive Zaps non-custodially using a combination of Alby, LNBits, LNAddress, and my own Core Lightning node, all running over Tor.

So now I'm 100% noncustodial on desktop! 👍🏻
Next up: figuring out how to add a mobile wallet into the mix. Will start with nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 Zeus wallet on iOS and see if I can get that all working while away from home!
