Transhumanism is a philosophical movement that focuses on the advancement of human beings through technology, which has not happened yet. However, over time, humans have used technology to enhance their lives in various ways and this can be seen as an early form of transhumanism.

For example, people have been wearing glasses and contact lenses to improve their vision or prosthetics to replace lost limbs. As advances occur in the field of biotechnology however it may be indeed possible for humans to merge with machines and create a new form of life - this would effectively by advanced-stage transhumanism.

Only time will tell how far we can push these kinds od technological advancements without altering what being human ultimately means!
