You know what if I can’t find a manual maybe I should get an X3 instead of a 3 series

Ew.
No.
Unless you like spending way too much money on maintenance.
Geez.
BMWs aren’t unreliable, that’s an urban myth. If you know how to take care of a machine, a BMW can pretty reliably last over 250k miles especially with an N55 or B58 motor. The N52 is supremely reliable too
Uh, no. I've worked on enough, know people that race them enough, and also have poked around under the hood of enough to know that they are NOT as reliable as a Honda or Toyota. Plus, parts cost more and you have to get really creative with tools to do some jobs and newer cars (not just BMWs) are making everything intentionally harder to work on to discourage DIYers.
If you dedicate a much higher portion of your life to maintaining a mode of transport as a hobby, cool. A-B? Give me a toaster with wheels.
Nothing is as reliable as a fucking Honda or Toyota. But Hondas and Toyotas aren’t rear wheel drive inline 6 turbocharged cars that can relatively reliably handle over 400 horsepower. The fun Japanese cars are WAY more expensive than the German cars on the used market.
Bmws are cheap, I don’t gaf if it only lasts 60k miles. I’m looking for a car under $20k. I want to get a Blackwing someday. I don’t need a car that is ultimately reliable.
Mind you, I had an Accord Coupe V6 with a manual, and I ride a Honda. I love Honda. I love Toyota. I dislike front wheel drive.
The way I see it is daily my motorcycle and keep a nice BMW under a tarp
