I believe that Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) are the way to go for microservices.
Users can install PWA and experience a native app feel, while also never having to worry about updates. Additionally, PWAs are instantly available on IOS, Android, and PC.

I did this about 2 years ago made an app that just is a browser that directs to my website. No updates just changes as the website does.

They are perfect for free internet. They don't require any approvals.
I looked into this recently and apparently they are not supported uniformly. For example I read Firefox mobile supports them, but Firefox desktop does not?? Sure, I can switch to Chrome on desktop, but that's not ideal.
