recorded music is still fairly new in comparison to recorded language/thoughts

i wonder if the first writers who engraved onto tablets went through the same issue with copyright and thinking that they owned every idea out there because it was somewhat similar

can you imagine if authors started suing each other over similar story ideas like songwriters do?
