Hey, I just sent you a tip of 20 Nostracoin.

Nostracoin can be used to record your nostr events in the blockchain.

You might want to do that because

1. It is censorship resistant

2. Timestamps your note

3. Never drops your note

You can check your balance or view Nostr at https://nostraco.in

Thanks I appreciate it. Have a nice day!

Hi! Thanks for the tip!

Really glad to be of value to the protocol and the worldwide community.

I have some questions.

1) If Nostraco.in effectively works on the blockchain (which I love), does that mean that you tipping me is not reversible?

2) Because I am humble, I just see a bunch of numbers on screen. How and why are they increasing on a second to second basis?

3) I see many options on the Wallet page, like inserting NSEC, WIF, Seedphrase, etc.

Can you explain this mechanism please? What should I insert depending on circumstances?

4) I like that Nostraco.in works on chain, so I can post important notes of immutable and transparent nature if necessary. Thanks for that. Amethyst is still great, since I've been trying to delete my notes for test purposes and some notes still persist (I'm fine with that).

5) I wanted to zap you from my Alby LN account but you seem to have no address. Please know that I appreciate your work and you reaching to me in this way. I would like to send some sats to you.

Thanks and have a beautiful day!

Thanks for the thought, but I find Lightning to be an exercise in frustration and I do not use it. Tip me some Nostracoin instead!

Hi! I entered my private key and I basically noticed 2 things. 1) wallet is not accessible. I can't access wallet, and it also shows some numbers of data transfer. I will choose to believe that this is a test or a joke of the developers. In that case, as an early user testing this protocol, having risked a lot into this process, I am already working on an article so future users of the world can know the dangers of decentralised media. It seems that everything, centralised and decentralised, has its pros and cons, and this experience of Nostracoin shows clearly that people can be easily deceived and lured into malignant nodes, relays and networks. Fortunately, as an Independent Crypto Journalists, my experience is of importance.

At first, it showed an increasing number of supposedly 20 NOSTR = 2000000000 SATS. Once I entered my private key into the website, the access to the wallet was replaced by a blank page without any other data except a footer that shows some data transfer. Paranoid minds would trip out a lot in such cases, probably becoming fearful that their data is stolen or something like that. Fortunately I am a very humble and transparent Independent Crypto Journalist, so I have nothing to hide, so the interface, that would have looked scary to some other users, seemed astoundingly creative and at some point super funny to me. But it also made me think about the implications in security and data protection. But it also made me think of it as a sort of digital prison/panopticon.

2) Although I was connected to some relays, I've seen that my note, which wasn't intended to be on nostracoin, was basically migrated and added to the relay without my consent or previous knowledge. This means that malignant actors can easily pick information from users and use it at will. In this sense, the development of Nostr basically poses a great danger for free speech, to he honest. But it is the same danger that also exists on centralised media with censorship and data harvesting. Both sides of the same coin.

I will elaborate more on a more profound article. But these are my basic observations, and I am glad for going through this experience, for it showed me a broad scope of reality, and also improved my level of self confidence, energy, and experience. You'll read it later.

Thanks for reporting the problem you experienced. It's pretty new, so there will, no doubt, be some problems. If you're logging in with your private key, it should give you the full interface and access to your Nostracoin wallet on the Wallet page (hamburger menu in top right). If it's giving you a blank page, that sounds like a bug. Can you give me more details, a screenshot maybe, were you logging in with your nsec?

Is the amount of sats shown in the profile real and equivalent to real blockchain sats on the Bitcoin Network? Are these withdrawable to a common self custodial wallet?

Is an AI called Cyborg working on this project or as a result of this project?

Nostracoin is a different crypto to BTC, so Nostracoin sats are not the same as BTC sats. Sat is generally used to refer to the smallest unit on any crypto coin - so you could have Litecoin sats, Dogecoin sats etc. They're all different.

The web wallet is self custodial, but you can send them to any other wallet, yes.

No AI or Cyborg working on this project yet, AFAIK.

Are these coins exchangeable for BTC?

No. Nostracoins only use is to pay for recording Nostr events in the blockchain.

Did you create Nostracoin? Is the name related to the Italian Nostra term?

Yes.

No. Its related to Nostr.

Are users like Snowden aware of this Nostracoin? Is fiatjaf aware as well?

Why the term Nostra?

It's called Nostracoin because it is used to record Nostr events on the blockchain. I don't know what those other guys know!

Are other relays doing this same blochain registry like yours? What is the target audience for this frontend?

Why did you tip me 20 Nostr?

Why are my notes on nostracoin?

No.

Everyone.

I noticed you had logged onto the site.

If you log into Nostraco.in with a private key, your events will be recorded in the Nostracoin blockchain.

In what blockchain are our notes supposedly uploaded? What's your objective with this project?

The Nostracoin blockchain.

The objective is to give users a way to permanently record and publish their Nostr events at low cost.

Why did you tip me 20 nostr?

Why don't you make clear instructions on your website about what happens when and if someone puts a private or public key?

Why did you build nostracoin?

What is MemBrain rating and why is there a rating at all on your site.

Where can I see the Blockchain activity?

Is it a public Blockchain or a private one?

More great questions, thanks!

I noticed you had used the site, so I tipped you.

It's still very early, so not much documentation yet.

To allow people to record their events permanently in the blockchain.

It's a rating to guess at whether it is a real and valuable user or a bot.

There's no block explorer yet, but you can run a Nostracoin node and query the blockchain directly if you like -> https://gitlab.com/nostracoin/nostracoin

It's a public blockchain!
