You are not growing enough milkweed

Can I grow milkweed in a container on a balcony?
Itβs got such a big root, I donβt know if it would work. Would it just bonsai itself, and would it be ok?
I have and it works (if I donβt drop them on the street). One gallon in the first year and three gallons of soil after that. They can be kept in one gallon of soil but reshaping the root and using new soil helps a lot.
