Because if you tell someone that you run a lightning node, and they're a smart thief, they could break in when you weren't home and steal your node. As soon as they powered it back up they would have full access to your precious sats.

Good question. Tbh, I'm not really sure.
Not unless the Umbrel login is the hard drive encryption password, too.
Which is easy to find out: Do you enter the Umbrel password before or after your node booted?
