But I meant it more like we won’t really know how things work, some will understand more than others and prompting is already in a way similar to casting a spell
Ah yes, I see.
This is a dystopian vision given in a lot of Sci-Fi, where humans loose the ability to understand technology and so society crumbles.
It is probably the situation with car mechanics.
Most car mechanics understand the mechanical aspects of the car, but modern computer driven systems make that knowledge moot, replacing it with computer diagnostics which the mechanic has to accept, for the most part, in good faith.
Of course AI is already such a system and quantum computers, as Richard Feynman explains
"If you think your understand quantum mechanics, you don't understand quantum mechanics" 😂
A dystopian vision that is manifesting scarily fast, in 40ish years when tech boomers start to drop dead it will be a reality and the impact will be tremendous
