yah.. i got stuck on the muun wallet .lol // whatever
Discussion
I don't recommend Muun simply because it's not a Lightning wallet. If you want self-custody Lightning, use Phoenix. If you want easy & cheap, use one of the custodial options (for smaller amounts). Muun doesn't seem to fill a niche, for me anyway.
What about BlueWallet?
I listed it 2 replies ago. It's fine as far as custodial wallets go.
Blue is custodian? Or can be both? Nearly sure about seeing people connecting with their lndhub and stuff
By default, Blue is custodian. Lndhub is their open source software which connects to a lightning node (LND) and provides a sort of account management feature for multiple users. You can use your own lndhub on your own node, but by default Blue uses their own lndhub on their node.
That’s what I thought after checking umbrel repositories on GitHub. Is that the easiest option to have the entire custodian setup atm? Your own node, custody, etc
I dunno the “easiest”, they all have tradeoffs. I just use Zeus with my nodes, have not run lndhub or connected Blue to my node.
I just use Blue (custodial) for small amounts.
I use Blue with my node, can’t generate LNURL though so far as I’m aware? What’s the best way to do that with your own node?
You need to run a separate process that will receive LNURL requests and pass them to your node for a BOLT-11 invoice. See here for a list of options: https://github.com/lnurl/luds#self-hosted

Indeed my LNBTC is now "stuck" with muun where a tx cost me 200 sats, not too bad but I was a bit disappointed
