The United States released its unseasonally adjusted CPI annual rate of 3.7% in August, which was expected to be 3.6% and the previous value of 3.2%, a new high since May this year. The core CPI in August was at an annual rate of 4.3%, which was expected to be 4.3% and the previous value of 4.7%, which was the lowest since September 2021 and has fallen for six consecutive months.
