I don’t think more relays is necessarily better. It’s going to be more a matter of sharing enough of the same relays as the people you want to be able to communicate with.. Using only paid relays might be limiting at the moment although using the nostr.wine filter relay might help since it aggregates public relays. I haven’t personally tried that one yet.
