Did Jesus find God by reading the Torah?

No, Jesus is God incarnate, so he didn't need to "find God." He said, "Before Abraham was, I am."

Get it?

Are you suggesting that Jesus achieved a higher human consciousness and then realized that he, like all of us, "is God"? And that we should do the same?

Because if so, that's some kind of Eastern spirituality / gnosticism and not Christianity.

But maybe I'm just not getting what you're saying...

Yes 🙏

Christ Jesus of Nazareth, the one discussed in the Christian Bible, neither taught this nor thought this. Believe what you like, but don't implicate Jesus in pagan/gnostic beliefs.

Perhaps that’s right.

I wonder if the point is that this very consciousness can perceive the truth. And the claim that “I am God” comes from a felt sense of not being a separate being. This is meditation. This is what they figured out in the East a number of times, and Jesus saw it too.
