Iβm reading urban fantasy for maybe the first time.
Not my usual genre.
Do you read this genre? If so, what are your favorites?

What's urban fantasy? Something like Harry Potter?
That would qualify, yeah. That would be kids/teens urban fantasy. Fantasy in modern urban settings, or secret magical worlds within our world.
Steelheart
Urban fantasy?
Like civil code?
I like the Fever series.
The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher - smarmy detective in a magical contemporary Chicago
Monster Hunter International by Larry Correia - mercenaries keeping the lid on magic and monsters through paramilitary adventures. Great humor and action.
The Mathew Swift novels by Kate Griffin - gritty and cool British underworld/hidden magic world stories with a neat take on magic in an urban setting.
Nop
I like Kim Harrison's Hollows series that starts with Dead Witch Walking. At least, the first several, since I only read, like, one fiction book per year lately and can't keep up.
Also, Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series that starts with Bitten, though again can't keep up.
What in the hell is urban fantasy? Neal Stephenson?
The OGs of modern urban fantasy: Megan Lindholm's Wizard of the Pigeons and Emma Bull's War of the Oaks. Also, almost anything by Charles De Lint.
