TIL Nancy Kulp (Ms Hathaway on "The Beverly Hillbillies") ran for Congress in 1984 to represent PA-09. Buddy Ebsen, who played Jed Clampett, recorded an attack ad against her for being too liberal, leading to a rift that only ended years later when Kulp was dying from cancer.
