Why should I use Nostr instead of Mastodon? Even if I self host my own instance. What are the biggest differences and advantages or disadvantages? Is there any way I can “self host” Nostr or help the infrastructure in any way? Thanks!

Yes you can self host a server (which are called relays). I don’t now mastodon so I can’t say anything about the differences. #nostr #plebchain anyone?
