Watched RFK, Jr.'s speech. Checks out for me. Passed my bullshit-dar so far.

For people who're skeptical, you should be. "Don't trust, verify!", right?

But for people who just jump in and say they don't trust him because he's a politician, for one, he's not a politician. He's been a life-long defense lawyer. Just because he's running for a political position doesn't make him a politician.

Tbh, I was nervous about seeing his speech cuz I didn't want to see a politician-kind of thing, which Tulsy Gabbard actually did at one point with her smirk and circling around in an interview and immediately turned me off from her for good.

Secondly, just because one chooses not to have government solving any problems doesn't mean at the current moment there's no such thing as government. And since somebody would have to be in that presidential seat, it might as well be someone that's more on the right path than any other candidates.

This doesn't mean you have to vote or donate to anybody, but living purely from an ideal that can not manifest today is not helping. If RFK, Jr. were not going to be the president, someone will be and it'll most likely be someone less congruent with this community.

I dont forsee how rooting for any one in any position of any authority has any bearing or betterment of society than just heads down building something that ACTUALLY matters and fosters change now than ANY person in any position of power will coerce others to obey. You're missing the entire point of the abrasiveness to the situation, stop hoping someone, somewhere else can do anything to help you or your community, only you, yourself can make and be that change once you stop accepting that someone else had authority to Dictate your life.

And also you're seeing him as someone in an authoritative position; I'm just seeing him as a person.

Not that with your beliefs, you'll run for office tmr, but let's say it you were, is it bad some people think you're a better candidate?? Should I right away put you in a box just because you're going this route? (I actually suspect your answer would be "yes", lol.)

And just because we think someone might be a better choice for an inevitable position doesn't mean we don't want to build and just want to depend on that person. That's too black and white assumption.

To think no one else ever would do something to help is also false. Someone somewhere did invent this very thing that connects us and gives us hope right now.

And to believe the above doesn't right away makes me believe they have authority over me or can dictate my life.
