In 1918, when Bessarabia united with Romania, Alexandru Nemolovski passionately advocated for Romanian language in churches and schools, resisting Soviet influence. As a priest, he served the Romanian community faithfully. In 1941, amidst Soviet re-occupation, he was arrested for his pro-Romanian stance and faith. He endured torture and imprisonment, refusing to renounce his beliefs or his people. He was martyred for his unwavering commitment to his faith and national identity.

May #Saint Alexandru intercede, inspiring us to stand firm in our faith and love for our heritage. #OrthodoxChristian #Martyr #Faith #Prayer #Basarabia
