If you arrange your life with an effort of constantly pleasing your woman by trying to make her happy, it will have the opposite effect. It will cause her to feel unsafe and resent you.

The goalposts of her satisfaction will continually shift until you have nothing left to give.

A primary focus on pleasing God and following his calling on your life is the only noble goal. If you stay true to this, your woman’s satisfaction will eb and flow but at least her respect will remain and, more importantly, you will fulfill a higher purpose on this planet.
