Cooking these hostas up with dinner tonight. Haven’t tried it before but since I’m pulling them out and replacing with comfrey it’s a good time to try #grownostr #hosta #cooking

They were okay. Kind of between spinach and asparagus but they kind of a had a strange aftertaste. Not horrible but not something I would do again by choice

i will give this a try is there a best time to pick them?

As soon as you can cut them a few inches before the leaves unfurl. I heard they get more bitter the longer you wait. It was recommended to cut the ones around the outside so you don’t see them when the leaves are full.
