From what I experienced, it‘s the unwritten rule, that bitcoin jobs/projects demand some kind of proof of work - and depending on the target job it could be anything from organizing meetups or a couple of bitcoin-related articles (if you aim for marketing/communication type of job) to a vibecoded app (if you‘re more a dev).
The point is to prove that you know the bitcoin environment, know the lingo etc.
It‘s not a must, but if your skill isn‘t unique - such as being a killer programmer - it‘s a very nice to have.
