Non custodial options reduce/remove the need for trust but then it would mean I would have to run a lightning node? Sorry I’m familiar with the BTC basics but trying to catch up with ⚡️🎃

You dont have to run a node to have a non custousial lightning wallet.
Download breez or phoenix and see by yourself 😉
I understand, the wallet of satoshi did not generate keys for me to custody while these other options do. The UI is very nice for Phoenix. I will play around further so I can avoid asking stupid questions in the future. Thank you José!
