I like to think of myself as being fairly free market but convenience store BTC machines are out of control and I think something should be fixed. I just checked one and the price was $138,000 CAD and last week I checked a different one and the price was $187,000 CAD. I wasn’t buying, just checking. Perhaps the “spot” price should be displayed along side the retail price. I asked the clerk where the price was $187,000 if they sell any and she said an older couple comes in and buys a few thousand dollars worth every week. It could take a long time to recover from the inflated price.
