The only way I'm able to reproduce this is if I launch brave and install or enable alby in that window. If I close the window and reopen, it then works with brave's default settings.
Ooh ok so like a disable and then re-enable thing? Cause I'm automatically logged in all the time... I'll try when I'm back home 😁

Sorry, seems like the might be a slight disconnect here. Once I installed alby, I had to close the browser entirely and the launch it again. Then it just worked.
I don't understand 😅 I close the browser at least a couple times a day
