Most people don’t realize the amount of biomass that has to be skillfully removed from cannabis to get high-quality flowers.
It is a labor intensive process that is an art in itself. #dankstr #weedstr #plantstr #grownostr

So your saying it's alot? How would you describe identifying what needs to be trimmed?
Anything that isn’t getting direct light. But it gets complicated bc branches grow quite tall and you have to strip all lower nodes. Sometimes up to 10 node sites below the node getting direct light for the length of a given branch.
Then you also have to pluck off all leaves that cover productive keeper nodes.
Thinning out this 4’x8’ table w/ 18 plants took me 8 hard hours. All the plants are growing through 2 layers of horizontal trellis so it is very hard to work in the middle of the canopy.
Probably 20 pounds of biomass removed. It’s crazy.
I would always freak out that I trimmed too much when I first started growing.
Yeah it takes awhile to figure out what needs to be kept and what needs to be removed. It is an art. I hate doing it but I love it too. It’s like sculpting.
