That's also a perspective!

Hey Jaques i just saw that you follow almost 2.000 people. Be careful here on Nostr, we don't have sophisticated algos yet, which means your feed can feel exhausting (when following so many people). I'm currently in the process or unfollowing a bunch of people so my feed feels nice. It's a lot of work, but worth it. I'm just mentioning it in case you sometimes feel like your feed is trashy. ☺️

Cheers man, yeah I got a bit excited back at the start. I'm slowly unfollowing as I see fit. Learning all the time.

there is a tool which automatically unfollows npubs which are not active in x amount of months. won't change your feed obviously but gives you an insight how much "work" you have to do.

Alternative: You just start with a new npub.

What's the tool? Have used nostr:npub1pvz2c9z4pau26xdwfya24d0qhn6ne8zp9vwjuyxw629wkj9vh5lsrrsd4h in the past to great effect 🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️🧟

i forgot the name but it basicall did the same what plebs vs zombies does :-)

Hey nostr:npub1lqs30x7466guvx6r2cek8z9d4hpucycy7j08wx58cwx70m206q3qrscejr - how long does it take for dormant followers to be cleared? Ran it about 30 mins ago.

Cracking tool though 👌 👏

After you use the “unfollow all”

button in the bottom your follow list should be updated and inactive users removed.

Brilliant stuff, thank you.

Interestingly, entering my npub manually didn't give that option ("unfollow all") on Android or desktop, but when I went via my extension it did work (perfectly).

Yes, when doing manually you’re only using your pubkey (npub) so without the private key (nsec) you can’t sign the event needed to remove the inactive users.

So you need the extension.

And thank you for the kind words.

I’m very happy you find it useful.
