I took my husband's last name but my middle name is now my maiden name, there are so many documents that have to be changed when you change your name I can understand using a hyphenated last name, it is a nightmare if you miss one. If I would have gone that route, my kid would not have a hyphenated last name.

Yeah I get that. I was fortunate that I met a woman who wanted to do the name change. If I hadn't, I probably just wouldn't have married her.

It's a sticking point for me but I've got my reasons. Haha

I had no problem with it and in a few years will be my new name longer than my old ๐Ÿ˜‚. Not something I give a lot of thought to. Glad you found a lady that has ypur values ๐Ÿซ‚
