Why not just use Monero?

More private and therefore more secure for nornies than anything else.

BTC already preserves its decentralisation. Other chains shouldn't have problems getting more bloat at the cost of a little decentralisation.

All the newly interested people I onboard to Monero. It's easy. They understand it. Letthose technically skilled dive into LN at a later stage.
