Blows my mind that The Banks have not learnt from the last great protocol disruption in music, being the creation of the MP3.
Users flocked to Napster for reduced friction in distribution, regardless of how technically difficult it was. It forced the hand of the industry to quickly adapt and now Spotify is totally normal. Users are happy to pay for value, free market at work.
Surely someone in The Banks sees the similarities to the money protocol disruption being Bitcoin/LN. Would it not be more profitable by rapidly adopting this new protocol and create the next Spotify of banking?
