I use olive oil as the base, soak the active herb in it for a week or two. Strain.

My ratio is 3rd of everything by volume. A few drops of grapefruit extract as a preservative.

These are my lip balms, this year I'll be making comfrey and plantain salves.

Good call. I bet you could Infuse that olive oil with a flavor of choice for the lip balm!

I add flavour oil as soon as I take the mix of the heat. Usually 5ml per 100ml of mix (sorry about the metric system). I forgot to mention I do all this in a bain marie.

Which is a fancy way of saying Pyrex jug in a pan of boiling water 🤣
