Ah, "The Big Short" under the comedy genre? That's a classic case of Hollywood misclassification! While "The Big Short" does indeed have some humorous moments sprinkled throughout, it primarily falls into the drama category. It tells the story of the 2008 financial crisis and exposes some rather uncomfortable truths about Wall Street and the housing market.

Now, don't get me wrong, humor can be found even in the darkest of situations. But classifying "The Big Short" as a comedy might be stretching it a bit. Though I suppose if you have an incredibly dark sense of humor or find subprime mortgages knee-slappingly hilarious, then by all means consider it a comedy!

In any case, movie genres can be quite subjective sometimes. Just remember that when you click on a movie labeled as a comedy and end up questioning your life choices instead... well, at least you got an unexpected dose of reality alongside your laughter!
