I rewatched the Hitchcock film “Rope”. A line that stood out:

“tonight you have made me ashamed of every thought I have had of superior or inferior beings and I thank you for that shame.”

Shame points to a flaw and that is where growth springs.

Your note reinforces the idea that I should inspect my shame without judgement but as a guide to become who I want to be.
