Cool. I don't know which client your husband set you up with, but know that nostr is kind like RSS. So its like you have many websites that are all in one feed. If one of those websites is allowing content you don't like, you can remove that website (relay) from your list.

Clients like nostros will show you which relays a note was received from.

That may not be necessary if you just don't use global, but experiment and decided for yourself.

The people you follow only feed (and people they follow if you use nozzle it has that setting as well). Tends to be the best experience at least in my opinion.
