Ok next time I'll go into my profile, open my qr, and click that button to scan someone else's qr. Totally logical? But now I know. Thanks.
There button to scan is on the bottom-right of the menu drawer. Granted, I need to place in a more visible location.

I got confused because I already scanned into my clipboard from the camera, I didn't need another scan I was looking to paste somewhere.
Google's camera doesn't pass the link along to other apps. Only a very few select apps (like browsers get that feature). :(
