Wouldn't surprise me if 'stablecoins' are quietly sanctioned by the USGOV in anticipation that they inevitably fail. This would enable CBDCs to be easily rolled out.

That being said, I think people are and will be hip to the game by then. Bitcoin will still have network and incentive effect.
