That’s something we need to figure out, by maybe temporarily removing zaps. Nostr is not all about zaps, it’s about freedom of speech 🐶🐾🫡

Zaps are the usp of nostr. Not doing something against this attack just cripples your app. Would you even use damus if you knew you could send and receive zaps on snort?

Then other clients didn’t have zaps either, other clients will implement it, this is bad for damus either ways. You’re suggesting that damus should just do whatever apple tells it to do. Doesn’t sound very censorship resistant.

Let’s just keep calm and a level head at this time. There are some great and amazing minds here on Nostr, very intelligent people that know more than we ever will about this, let’s allow them to take the lead.
I wonder if tech press/ slightly wider press picks up something like this. In a way it's good press if it does get out there and people will find a way to join (getting the app before it gets taken down, using web clients, news would also reach Android users etc etc).
Elon is such a contrarian that it might even interest him (somewhat unlikely, as it's a twitter alt, but you never know). Also I'm not pinning any hope on Elon, just to be clear, I just mean in terms of reach and implications that might affect his plans it's not out of the realms of possibility he would mention it).
