Not everyone here was into Bitcoin before #nostr.
I was. It's really the only reason I showed up here, to see it in action.
And actually seeing the utility of it here, and using it, has been another significant moment in my rabbit hole.
Came because of bitcoin, stayed for great content and people here. All while getting to make micro payments across the globe.
What a time to be alive.
I do not come from a btc environment, think that is pretty obvious. It came up as some of the alternatives to twitter, where I confess I am still active because I do engage with a group of people that is slowly scattering away because of the many random changes there.
That's kind of the beauty of this.
It's like a weird collection of artists, intellectuals, jokers and potential thieves building a social network incorporated with a base layer value transfer outside of the banking system.
I aim to not be a toxic bitcoiner so if you ever have questions about wallets and stuff reach out to me or others.
It can be very overwhelming and takes time to get a grip on. In the meantime don't worry to much about it and keep posting your works 🫂🫡

I share my music so as a small independent I embrace every window to share

My only previous experience on a decentralized place is on hive but it is more a blog not microblogging (i do not want to say tweets anymore"). It is a bit less wild.
And to the risk of not being well seen I use still all of my socials and networks because I use them to reach my audience. Hope to find it also here.
Yeah I got some followers doing the porn thing. I wish them well.
I don't believe those incentives are well aligned here as other spaces.
Real engagement and being yourself, putting out your art or just being polite seems more valued here.
I really hope that lasts.
