i think we should be abstracting away from the address as much as possible, in favour of qr codes or bip21 uris
the best UX i’ve seen thus far is a qr code that you can long press to get the uri with the amount and reason filled out.
actually showing the address (and showing it without the amount, blegh) feels like an anti-pattern to me
all great points but 1) we have to interact with existing systems using legacy addresses and 2) how do you verify the address is correct when it is completely abstracted away?
Allow me to rephrase #2. I worry about the additional attack surface that each new layer of complexity introduces. Verifying your own on-chain address is hard to beat in terms of simplicity and security.
Have you tried visually verifying the alphanumeric address on two different screens, or windows?
