Our culture has devolved into an incredibly high time preference culture where satisfying our base needs has been put on a pedestal as some virtuous life choice. It’s a disastrous path for civilization and will be reset when we fix the money. Societies turn toward hedonism and base pleasure satisfaction as civilization begins breaking down.
