I don’t think we have an identity crisis because Nostr is what you want it to be - can build so many different experiences for so many different types of uses and audiences. It’s a protocol so it makes sense that it can be used for many things.

I mean in the sense that people are trying to figure out what Nostr is and/or comparing it to Twitter all of the time.

Those seem to be the people who are unaware of the other stuff or have no use for it

I do too. It would be easier and safer for users. Having a Nostr login needs to be an option for every FOSS app. There's almost no reason why some junior developer looking to make their mark couldn't submit a PR to 100 projects out there. That would be a mission.
